The Center for Research on Science, Technology and Society, as part of Ipea, will be launched on November 7th, in Rio de Janeiro, during a panel discussion on the importance of scientific and technological knowledge for the development of Brazil and its funding structure. Aspects of research funding and national development will be discussed by researchers and managers from different institutions.
The new Center will produce and disseminate knowledge about the social and economic impacts of the scientific advances and the new technologies, developing public policies capable of amplifying their positive effects on people's lives, especially in areas such as health, education and sustainability.
