Luiz has a Msc in Development Economics at Federal University of Paraná (UFPR-Brazil), he is a phd candidate at Department of Economics at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF -Brazil), and a research assistant at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea). He is interested in Regional and Urban Economics, seeking to understand economic relationships between spatial distributions of accessibility, jobs and housing in cities.
